EVIL BUGS!!

Did you know that gnats bite??? I thought gnats were harmless little bugs, but apparently not in Georgia.  Sister Thomas and I had a rough week with the bugs...she got 46 bug bites!! It was brutal 😂

Aaannywaaays second week out in the field let's goooo! I can officially say that I'm starting to feel like a real missionary. The first week that I was here was such a blur and I was just trying to keep my head on straight and survive honestly 😅 But this week I got to meet the ward, Sister Thomas and I had some great lessons, and I got to meet my district! So it was a pretty good week.

Let's get started shall we:

Pday- Sister Thomas showed me around the Brunswick area a bit more and its so pretty here! We went to this place called St. Simon's Island and ate some fish tacos by the ocean...so yes you could say that was a good moment. If you know me, you know that I love seeing new places that are different from home. Going from the dry mountains of Utah to the coast and marshlands of Georgia is about as different as it can get, and its so fun!

Looking out into Saint Simons Sound

Service- we did LOTS of service this week.  I don't know if it was a normal amount or if we always do this much service. But we literally weeded an entire forest in an older ladies backyard and then filled it with mulch. I was drenched in sweat but it was honestly pretty fun😇 My favorite project we did was volunteer at the Farm. The Farm is a sanctuary for animals and we got to feed and groom horses and stuff. I can confidentially say that I'm not afraid of horses anymore! And we go there every week so I'll get to be around the animals a lot more.

Service + animals...I can get used to this!

Lessons- I met so many new people this week, I'm still trying to learn names! But the main person we're teaching right now is Tina. She has so much personality and she's so fun I love her! We taught her about the word of wisdom this week and we were kind of nervous about this lesson, because we knew that she drinks coffee and tea. But we got to the lesson and started teaching her, she had some great questions, and she's fully willing to live the Word of Wisdom! She's really progressing, and there's honestly nothing more exciting as a missionary! Oh also we got to the lesson and she told us she read the entire book of Moroni...TWICE in one week.  If that's not amazing I don't know what is.

We're going all out to decorate our apartment😆

Thoughts- I feel like I learn and grow so much everyday, and I've honestly had a lot a fun out here so far.  I'm so lucky to have a companion as good as sister Thomas! Its weird though because some days just don't seem to work out; for example on Tuesday we had 4 appointments and 3 of them canceled:( so that was a bummer of a day. But other days everything seems to fall into place! On Thursday we were filming for this music video we had to make and we met these two random people. They started asking us questions about who we were. We told them we were missionaries and long story short we scheduled a lesson with one of them named Kim for this week! As we obey and have faith, the Lord really does put us in the right place at the right time. I love being a servant in his hands, I've ready seen so many blessings from it in my life and in the lives of the people we're teaching and serving.  :)

Well that's about it for this week. Sorry if this email was too long for you😅 I miss you guys so much! Oh and just a heads up, missionaries are allowed to have Facebook so you can follow my mission on Facebook as well. You can even see the cheesy music video Sister Thomas and I had to make this week😂 (we get assignments from our zone leaders when we have to post videos and photos on our stakes Facebook page)

Until next week!

-Love Sister Bonny❤
