Week 11, 12/21/2020
WELL...SHOOT :(
I don't think I've ever been more disappointed in my whole life as I was when we got the call that we were confined to our apartment for the next few days. Yes its only a few days of quarantine but we had to immediately call and cancel 3 dinner appointments, our service at the Angel Tree toy distribution project, our service at the Farm, and we tried to move our lessons to zoom but no one got back to us about that:( Pretty disappointing, not going to lie. Well shoot. What can ya do🤷♀️

| Dinner out after Zone Conference |
Before the Covid mess, this week was going so good! As I said before, we had Christmas zone conference on Tuesday and I absolutely loved it! We had a lil sleepover with the sisters in Valdosta Georgia because the conference was 2.5 hours away from Brunswick so we got to drive down on Monday night and hang out with them. I sang the musical number, "O Come O Come Emmanuel". I arranged, accompanied, and sang it, and I really enjoyed being able to practice music again. ❤
Anyway during the conference we had a talent show, which was hilarious, and then we got to watch part of The Chosen. President Wood invited us to read all 4 of the gospels in the New Testament in preparation for this, and I'm really glad that I did. I have learned so much about Jesus Christ since coming out on my mission. The thing that stuck out to me while I was watching the Chosen was this: Jesus Christ is not only our Savior but he's also our friend. He's not just someone we read about in scriptures, he was a living person who came to this earth and experienced mortality just like us. I'm so grateful for him and the example he set for us. The rest of the conference was so fun. I'm so grateful for all the missionaries I've been able to become such close friends with!

| Don't even ask me to share |
I started teaching someone piano lessons this week, and it turns out Don is a dude and he's a minister for another church lol. But it was actually really cool because he was asking us a lot of questions about our church, and he said he'd be interested in learning more. So that's been a really cool teaching opportunity!
The rest of the week was a blur since we were put into quarantine on Thursday evening. Basically quarantine missionary life is as boring as it sounds: we called a lot of people, had a lot of zoom meetings, went on walks, made and delivered LOTS of cookies, and drove to check out the holiday lights on Jeckyl island. Sister Thomas and I got the fire nose covid tests today and they're both negative, so yay! We're free now!

Quarantine actually wasn't that bad, we were really able to take a step back and look at the people we're working with and focus on what we can do better as missionaries. That being said, I'm glad its over. (even though I'm sure I'll be quarantined again before my mission is over, thanks Corona virus)
So yep... thats pretty much it! This week is Christmas and I'm VERY excited! Its been so fun to be out here helping people, and focusing on Christ everyday for Christmas.
I hope y'all have an amazing holiday, love and miss you guys!! Stay safe and healthy!!
-love Sister Bonny❤
