Week 16, 1/25/2021
Ok I thought last week was crazy....but this week was insane! Sis Thomas and I were basically living out of our car for the week because we were so busy! But it was oh so good.
First of all: Pday was the best day ever. A member from our ward works at the sea turtle center on Jekyll island so we went and visited her and saw some cute turtles. π Then we met up with our district on the beach to play spikeball and volleyball. SO FUN!

Buuuuut this week I had to say goodbye to my birthplace: Brunswick. I was not ready to leave! I came to really love the people and the place so much, I was sad to say goodbye. π₯ so basically all week sis Thomas and I were saying goodbye to our favorite families and trying to fit in as many lessons with our people as possible. The Messicks all have covid so we had to say a socially distanced goodbye in their front yard to them, that was kind of funny. π We had one last lesson with Andrew, Tina, and Pinkie. Andrew is very close to baptism so we really hope the next missionaries don't screw things up! Saying goodbye to the Wilson's was sad too, Dean Wilson is our ward mission leader and his family treated us like family. They're a crazy bunch but we love them!

After all that craziness and packing the apartment, I was getting real excited to get to my new area but nope! Transfers were on Friday and thats when I was supposed to get my new companion and go to my new area in Waycross....however....covid struck again. On Thursday night we got the call that my new comp has been exposed to covid so she's in quarantine for a 10 days! So now I've been placed in a temporary trio in Jacksonville until she's out of quarantine and we can go to Waycross. π³ crazy stuff. So since Friday I've been in a trio with Sister Toomey and Sister Hipwell, and I've basically just been third wheeling it with them at all their lessons and dinners! It's pretty weird to be in an area that's not yours... honestly I don't think I like it very muchπ its cool to see a new area and meet more people, but they aren't my people, and the entire Waycross ward was expecting Sister missionaries to come on Friday and we already had multiple teaching appointments set up! Soooo I'm just kind of bummed and I want to get to Waycross ASAP! But I might be in Jacksonville for another week or so until sis Pope can test negative for covid :( you really never know what to expect with a covid mission!

Anyway I already miss all my people in Brunswick and Sis Thomas so much! That place truly was amazing! I'm so grateful to be on a mission and have the opportunity to meet so many amazing people and share the gospel with them! Hopefully I can get to Waycross this next week, but sis hipwell and sis toomey are awesome so I'm chilling here in Jacksonville. And I get to see the city! Thats pretty cewl.
Hope y'all have an amazing week, love and miss y'all!
