The one with four companions!

Exploring downtown Jacksonville - Pday

First of all: if any of you guys haven't sent me your favorite scripture, please do! I want to fill up my calender and I need a few more.

Anyway this was another wild week! I had 4 different companions throughout the week, yes 4. Here's a quick recap of what happened last week: last weekend was transfers and I got transfered to Waycross Georgia, BUT I couldn't go there because my companion was in quarantine. So last minute they put me in a trio with Sister Hipwell and Sister Toomey in downtown Jacksonville area. So all week I was chilling with them not knowing if or when I was going to Waycross! I hated the uncertainty of it all, but honestly trio life was kind of a blast. Plus Jacksonville is such a nice city! On Pday we explored the city and it was so fun🙌

Meet the short-lived but sweet trio - Sisters Hipwell and Toomey

The Gregirues

So I basically just followed sis Hipwell and sis Toomey around there area all week, I was pretty much on a missionary vacation. 😅 But I got to meet so many awesome families! I learned that Georgia and Florida are very different: Georgia is a bit more southern, there's better BBQ, and the people are a bit crazier. (haha jk) My favorite part of the week was doing service at Celestial farms. The workers had us coral giant pigs for like 2 hours! Have you ever coraled a pig? Well turns out it's pretty hard 😂 there was literally 10 missionaries running around a farm chasing these pigs, trying to get them in the pen, children were crying, pigs plowed into me multiple times, it was great. Good times.

Its ALWAYS great to see Sister Stevens

On Friday I got the call that my companion was out of quarantine so we could finally go to Waycross! Yay! This was a huge relief because being in a trio was fun but I was getting pretty anxious to get to my own area. Plus I felt like I couldn't do any of my own missionary work because I wasn't with my people. Anyways on Saturday I got my 3rd companion: Sister Stevens! We were comps just for the day because (long story short) my trio had lessons far away and I had to be at transfers at a certain time. So I was in Sister Stevens area just for Saturday, and that was a party because we went to high school together so it was a ton of fun to be able to catch up! She dropped me off at transfers that night and I finally met my 4th and final companion: Sister Pope!

My new partner..Sis Pope

This is where things get really interesting 😂  Sister Pope and I drove to Waycross that night and we are replacing the elders that were here in Waycross.... don't get me wrong some elders are great....but some are disgusting. Our apartment has housed elders for the past like 5 years and it is disgusting. Not only is the apartment bug infested, dirt stained, and filled with expired food; the area is in shambles.
Everyone we saw at church on Sunday told us how grateful they were to finally have Sister missionaries. 😅 Anyway we really have our work cut out for us up here in Waycross. So it's very exciting, but super overwhelming at the same time. Also Waycross is in the middle of no where 😂 (if anyone was wondering)

Our apartment...grosser than it looks after 5 years of Elders!

So that was my crazy week! Missionary vacation in Jacksonville was fun but I'm really excited to finally be in my area with my comp. Even though the area is kind of ugly and the apartment is disgusting, I know that we are meant to be here. We just got here and we've already gotten like 30 referrals of people we need to visit and our teaching pool is pretty big. I know there's people that we're meant to meet here and I can't wait to meet them!

I'll probably have another hectic week of trying to (hopefully) move apartments and meet everyone here, so y'all can look forward to that next week lol! But I love and miss y'all so much, have an awesome week!

Sister Bonny:)

Fav scripture of the week: 2 Nephi 2:23-25

P.S. Yes my companion's dad is Mark Pope, the BYU basketball coach if any of y'all were wondering, I thought maybe some of you would think that's kind of cool. She's so awesome though!
