Week 19, 2/15/2021
I'm so tired.
But in a good way!
This week we had all the good stuff:
-lots of lessons
-zone conference
-tradeoffs
-service at Okefenokee swamp
-wandering around "the woods" trying to find people 😅
Ok so little miracle moment: we've been trying to get in contact with a less active family called the Musgroves. Nearly every member we talk to tells us we have to reach out to the Musgroves! So we tried texting, calling, and visiting them but we were never able to get in contact with them. Anyway we went golfing last pday and it was so fun! (Oh how I missed golfing) and that night we got a text from BROTHER MUSGROVE and he said, "hey were y'all golfing today?" We're like haha yes. Turns out: he was golfing behind us the whole time! He then invited us to go golfing with his family the next pday. So that's exactly what we did today! We went with his daughter who's a high school golfer, and our ward mission leader came as well. It was a party. This whole story is such a miracle because I've missed golf so much and so the fact that we were able to do missionary work by doing something that I love and miss was a really nice touch added on by heavenly Father:)

Favorite teaching moment: we've been teaching 2 kids named Phoebe and Des, and they are the best. We introduced the Book of Mormon (the children's version) and Des immediately got super into it. We read the first 15 pages or so with them, and by the next lesson just a few days later, Des had read 20 pages on his own! He just couldn't stop talking about it and how good it was getting. We were dying! We think he loves the battles a little too much 😅
Wack moment: we spontaneously decided to visit a family out in the woods during a rainstorm and...it was an adventure. When someone lives out in "the woods" here in Georgia, they literally mean the middle of nowhere! So we're driving on this wet dirt road for 15 minutes trying not to get stuck, then the road turns into a river because of how much rain we've gotten this past week. The navigation says the house is literally right around the corner so sis Pope says, "you ready to make a good story?" she then takes her shoes off and starts running through the river down the road! I catch up to her and after wandering around the woods for a hot sec and getting chased by their neighbors dog, we showed up to this part members home covered in mud and half barefoot. 😅 I'm sure they thought we were crazy! But I also know that Sundays are the ONLY day that family is home, and we both felt like it was really important that we visited them that day. Who knows what may come of it, but I know that Heavenly Father knows what he's doing. As long as we're doing our part he'll take care of the rest. And I could tell this family really liked us, and we were able to schedule dinner with them so it was all worth it! 😅

Zone conference and tradeoffs were greeeaaat. Sister Frei came to Waycross with me and I lead the area...again (why they won't send me to Kingsland for a tradeoff we may never know) but I love Sister Frei she's awesome! We did service at the Okeefenokee swamp and saw some huge gators so that's always fun.
Sorry this is such a long email but so many things happened this week I can't help it! We found 5 new people and we're teaching around 11 people right now, so the missionary work is poppin here in Waycross and I couldn't be happier :)
Hope y'all had a wonderful Valentines day! Love and miss y'all!
-Sister Bonny❤
