Week 20, 2/22/2021

Well we've got this pretty mamas attention...maybe she's interested in our message  ;)

Ok I don't want to sound like a cliché missionary buuuut...this week was full of miracles!!!!

Miracle number uno: remember those kids we've been teaching? Their names are Phoebe and Desmond, and we've been teaching them ever since we got here and..... they're getting baptized!!!! We extended the invitation and Des goes, "ok so I'm thinking we could do this on Thursday how does that sound?" We're like, hmmm that's a little too soon bud 😅 But they're both super excited and so are we! They've both embraced the gospel full heartedly, and its so cute to see how much they LOVE the Book of Mormon.

Typical Waycross scenery 🐄🐄

Miracle number dos: we've been teaching our friend Jenny and unfortunately she's been going through a lot lately (I won't explain the exact situation but basically she doesn't have enough money to pay for a lawyer that she needs) so at the end of one of our lessons we promised her that if she went inside and read the Book of Mormon just for 15 minutes and prayed for Heavenly Father/s help, that he would bless her. Well we got a call from her the next morning and she said that she, "tried the whole Book of Mormon thing" and it worked! She checked her bank account and she got a tax refund so now she has enough money to pay for her lawyer! She bore her testimony to us that she knows that God is aware of her and that he answered her prayers. Ah we love Jenny! Its so amazing watching people learn and grow in the gospel, she's starting to know for herself that the Book of Mormon is true and she's already seeing blessings come from it!

The Kirtlands are the best...especially when they take us to Olive Garden!

Miracle number tres: ok this is actually the opposite of a miracle but I'll share anyway 😅 We did some hardcore off-roading this week trying to visit some members that live in timbuktu and.....our car may or may not be broke down at a members house right now 😬 I love my comp but daaang she did not go easy on our poor car! So basically we're stranded at the apartment all day for pday until we can get it towed.... pray for us and that we can get it fixed ASAP 🙏

Thats basically it. I just can't explain how happy I am to be a missionary right now. People always tell us how hard it must be to be serving a mission during covid. But you know what, life is hard in general so I might as well be spreading the gospel while I'm at it! There's nothing I'd rather be doing than serving the unique people of Georgia. If you're living it correctly, the gospel can truly be life changing and I've seen it bless so many people out here! Not everyone accepts our message, but its all worth it to find those that do.

Welp I hope y'all have another awesome week! I can't believe its almost March, time seriously flies. Love and miss you guys!
