Week 29, 4/26/2021

Ok I don't want to sound like a cliché missionary buuuuuut...this week was full of miracles!! Mostly just yesterday was a fat miracle. Here's the rundown for the week:

-We had my favorite zone conference so far (I love all the missionaries in this zone so much)

-lots of service! We've been helping a nonmember fix up houses and its so much fun

-did some finding in the pouring rain...not as fun

-Andrew got baptized! Andrew is someone sis Thomas and I taught in Brunswick before we got transferred and he just got baptized yesterday. I got permission to go since Brunswick is still in our district! So basically I got to see all my people from Brunswick that I'd missed so much and it was such a happy reunion 😇 I'm super happy for Andrew and his decision to get baptized. It was cool teaching him in January and then coming back in April and seeing how much he had changed through the gospel. He seemed much happier and he had definitely found his purpose in life.

Earnest, Pheobe, and Dez

-Connor came to church and loved it! We've been teaching him for a while now and he's never been able to come to church because he's in a band. But he didn't have any gigs this weekend and he came. Afterward he said he loved it and can't wait to come back! So that was a miracle. Its not like I didn't have faith...but usually when people say they're coming to church...they don't show up 😅 But Connor is not one of those people!

-Also on Sunday our stake had a musical devotional about the Restoration, it was amazing. It was in Kingsland which is an hour away from Waycross, but phoebe, des, and Ernest were able to come and they loved it! I feel the spirit so strongly through music and I've missed music since I've been on my mission. It was great!

Got to see Brittany from Brunswick :)

If you can't tell this week was just awesome. Our goal was to find someone new to teach and that didn't happen, but the people we are teaching are progressing very well so we can't complain about that! Something that I noticed when I was visiting Brunswick is how much I've grown since I've been on my mission. When I got to Brunswick I was pretty scared, nervous, shy, and homesick. And now, fast forward 6 months, I realize how much more confident and outgoing I am. Without a doubt, missions do force you to grow in ways you didn't think possible and I'm so grateful for that!

Our whole purpose for coming to Earth was to receive bodies and grow and progress through trials we would face in this life. Without challenges and hard times, this life would be a waste of time! This may sound crazy, but I'm grateful for the challenges I've experienced and how I was able to grow through them. We wouldn't have our awesome highs in life without our lowest lows. So next time you're going through a hard time, have faith that there is something you can learn and there is a way you can grow from your trials. Ok I'm done now:)

Service - our favorite!

(One of the biggest trials on my mission thus far has been not having a Zupas in the south :/// very sad stuff.)

I don't know how next week can top this one, but I let y'all know how it goes! I miss you guys a ton, I hope y'all have a fantastic week :)

-Sister Bonny❤
