Week 38, 6/28/2021

I'm going to be totally honest...I can't really remember what happened this week 😳

Here's what I think happened:

It rained a TON

We ate more watermelon

Ok this was a big deal: THE ORLANDO TEMPLE IS OPENING TO PHASE 3 IN JULY! That was such a huge answer to our prayers, literally 3 weeks after we fasted for it to open! I'm so excited to go yall have no idea.

District service project at okefenokee...in the rain

We had an awesomesauce lesson with Connor at the Corbitt's house about temples. He loved it and he's already excited to go to the temple after he gets baptized! We still haven't set a specific date, but we're getting there!

We had 3 of our friends come to church on Sunday so that was a little miracle! We invited this inactive lady we've been visiting, and honestly I had pretty much no hope that she would come. But she actually came and told us how much she needed church and how much she appreciates us in her life. All it takes is a simple invite!

There was a worldwide devotional on Saturday called Love, Share, Invite for everyone with leadership callings in the church. But honestly, everyone should watch it! It was so good! It was about how missionary work is not just for the missionaries (duh) and how it should be something normal and natural for us to do. A lot of the time I feel like when people hear the words "missionary work" they think they need a name tag and they need to throw Book of Mormons at people. 😅Obviously that's not true! I think it was Elder Uchtdorf that said, "sharing the gospel isn't something we should add to a lengthy list of things to do, it should be apart of who we are." I love that, its true! And it doesn't have to be hard. All it is, is talking to your friend at work, or inviting them to a church activity, or visiting someone who's going through a hard time. Sharing the gospel isn't hard or scary and it shouldn't be a separate part of our life.  It should be apart of our everyday life. Anyway I really liked that devotional and I think you can watch it online, so go watch it:)

My favorite scripture from the week has to do with temples (wonder why hmmm 🤔) its kind of long but its Isaiah 2:2-3, 5

"And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the tops of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

And many people shall go and say, come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of God of Jacob; and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the Lord."

Hope yall have an awesome week! And if not... read your scriptures and say your prayers, that'll probably help 😉 Oh and GO TO THE TEMPLE CUZ WE CAN DO THAT NOW ok that's all byyyyyeeee
