DOOR KNOCKING PROS

Whaaaaat a week...

Yes we knocked a lot of doors unfortunately.

Someone came to church!

We went to MLC for a second.

We weeded nations.

I love Sister Horn and sister Adamson .

We stared at the beach.

This is as close to the beach as we can get in the summer.

I reeeaaally like Mandarin 1st! Apparently the work here has been a little slow the past few months and we didn't have anyone to teach when I got here last week. But we worked our tails off and knocked doors of formers, and met with tons of members every day and we found 2 people to teach! God is aware of our efforts, and hard work really does pay off.

BEFORE...

AFTER 💪👌😁😁

Our week basically consisted of just that: we met the members, knocked doors, did lots of service, had a super fun game night a member hosted, and we went to MLC (a meeting with all the missionaries that have leadership positions) on Friday. I enjoyed going to MLC but it was a bit intimating haha. We're basically trying to market the church for our mission and I'm not a business student, I've never studied marketing! I just have no idea what I'm doing, and I'm learning a lot but the other SMS missionaries have been doing it for a while now so I feel a little out of my league.😬 Anyway I just have to learn a little faster! We've been making some really cool ads this week for the Book of Mormon so its cool to be apart of this side of missionary work.

My new district...Fishers of Men...and fish!

Eddie came to church! We were texting formers and we decided to text this man named Eddie who was formerly taught by missionaries a few months ago. We invited him to church and he responded saying that he's so glad we reached out to him and he was planning on coming. So on Sunday we were watching for him and at 9:01am he walked in the doors with his Book of Mormon in hand! (Usually when people say they'll come to church they don't actually show up)  He stayed for the whole meeting and he loved it, the ward was so friendly to him! After the meeting we were inviting him to meet with us and he said, "before you teach me anything, you have to teach me about this book!" It was awesome, he's so prepared! So we're really excited to meet with him this week, stay tuned!

I'm not gonna lie I was pretty nervous about being in a trio, but I have loved it! I never knew knocking doors could be so fun, sister Horn, Adamson and I are having a good time. And it really helps that the members are SO good to us here! They all really want to be involved in missionary work and they have made us feel so welcome. Anyway just a week in, but I really like Jacksonville so far. 😇

It takes a lot of faith to do this!

I decided to read through the whole quad part way through this year and I'm 95% done with the old testament...I'm just a little bit excited haha. There's a lot of "fluff" in the old testament but reading it all the way through has strengthened my testimony about the need for the Book of Mormon so much! The Bible and the book of Mormon support each other so perfectly, and if anyone thinks otherwise then they haven't actually studied the Book of Mormon. Sorry if that's a little harsh but its true! The Book of Mormon restores vital truths and principles that were lost from the Bible. Truths like the plan of salvation, the doctrine of christ, our purpose here on earth, and we learn more about who Jesus christ is. I never thought I would grow to love the scriptures as much as I have, but I truly love them. Don't take them for granted, read yo scriptures!  I'm not going to ask you to read the old testament because if you're not committed then you probably won't get that much out of it haha, but I've learned so much from reading through it and I would definitely recommend!

Well thats about it, sorry I don't have any weird funny stories but I'm not in Southern Georgia anymore 🤷‍♀️

Hope y'all have an awesome week, love and miss y'all!

-Sister Bonny ❤
