Week 46, 8/24/2021
GATOR CITY
Honestly not much happened this week it was pretty boring.....
PSYCH
This week was absolutley insane, here's a lil summary:
-said goodbye to Jacksonville πͺ
-trained all the trainers and trainees at transfers for technology stuff
-said goodbye to Sister Horn πͺπͺ
-got my new trainee Sister Morley!
-moved to Gainesville!
-met a bajillion new people
-died from exhaustion
Aaaaand that was about it! I am now an STL serving in Gainesville over the YSA and a family ward here and so far I love it! We have pretty much been chickens running around with our heads cut off for the past few days trying to figure everything out haha. Turns out whitewashing and training at the same time is a wee bit difficult, but I can already tell there is so much work to do here so I'm pumped! Most of y'all probably haven't been to Gainesville but it's a super big college town. It's home to the University of Florida (the Gators) and since the fall semester started today there is soooo many college students everywhere. I've almost hit quite a few of them haha. I've never served around so many people my own age, it's super weird. It's safe to say that I feel very out of place π but since school just started that means there's a ton of new move ins and most all those move ins have roommates and friends who aren't members, so the missionary work here is already super exciting!

Anyway since we've only been here for a few days I can't say much else besides the fact that Gainesville is awesome and I already love Sister Morley so much. She's ready to work!
Training again has brought back a lot of memories of when I first started in the mission. Let's just say, I was pretty homesick and I just tried to get through every day. I took it day by day. I would always hear missionaries that were about to go home talk about how sad they were to leave the mission and I always thought, "why are they sad??? Home sounds sooo awesome!" I never thought I'd get to the point where I 'loved' missionary work. I knew that I was out here for a reason and I needed to work hard and find out what that was.

Well... fast forward 10 months later and I can confidentially say that I am now that missionary that genuinely loves missionary work. I don't know quite how I got here π and not every day is amazing, (honestly its the hard days that make everything worth it) but I've met so many people and learned so much that I never would have learned at home, I've adjusted to missionary life and I love it. I love meeting new people, studying the scriptures, working long hard days, seeing people change, noticing God's hand in my life, and living the gospel fully! I'm not trying to advertise for a mission or anything, I guess I just had the realization recently about how much I love where I'm at in life, and I can blame it all on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I've seen firsthand how much it can bless peoples lives!
