| Chalkboard Campus Event |
Ok I LOVE Gainesville. I don't think I've ever loved an area so quickly before.
YSA is so fun! Turns out it's a lot easier to connect with people my own age rather than old ladies. (I'm not dissing on the old ladies though, I love them too)but we've only been here a week and I feel like we've made genuine friends here.
Here's a lil rundown of the week:
Monday- Pday fun stuff! YSA family home evening (we played Pictionary)
Tuesday- district council, visited members, and met Caroline! She was being taught by missionaries at her home and she just moved here for school. She's super sweet and is super excited to be taught! We also had a gospel discussion with the YSA that night.
Wednesday- mainly just visits with members and recent converts
Thursday- we had a "chalkboard event" where we set up a booth on campus with chalkboards and we talked to people as they walked by and asked them to write what they're grateful for on the chalkboards. It actually worked very well! It made for a lot of awkward conversations haha, (#missionarylife) but we were able to find a lot of potential people to teach. Later that night we had Institute and a few people we met on campus earlier that day came! So cool! Honestly I felt like a real missionary, because up until now, street contacting hasn't been allowed in our mission so I haven't done it that much. Hopefully I'll get better at it in the next 7 months. π

| Got to see Sis Graf at MLC π |
Friday- I went to my first MLC (Mission Leadership Council) Its where all the missionaries with leadership assignments have a big meeting about how the mission is doing. It was super cool to be apart of, the spirit was so strong during the meeting. And it just reaffirmed my testimony of how important this work is.
Saturday- SO BUSY we did a free car wash with our district and we met a lot of people through it! Funny story: Sister Morley is a beast. She was talking to a lady while we were washing her car and the lady was saying how she loves to cook and Sister Morley (bless her heart she's a week into the mission) goes, "Well we would love to come over and eat sometime!" Haha anyway to get your foot in the door! But the old lady was actually super excited and now we're eating lunch with her on Wednesday! So proud of my trainee. ππ after the car wash we played volleyball with the YSA and it was a party.

Sunday: 4 hours of church yay! (Because we cover 2 wards.) Then we had a YSA potluck after church and we (with the elders) had 4 other nonmembers at church! New semester + hard work= miracles ππ
Anyways I shared a little bit of what we did everyday just to show how crazy of a week it was! But I absolutely love it here, there's so much work to do. The University of Florida is one giant field that is definitely ready to be harvested. I'm pumped.

Even with all the events going on and the excitement of meeting so many new people, my favorite part about this week was seeing how I'm an instrument in Heavenly Fathers hands. We met a lot of people this week that are all going through different problems, and we were guided to them specifically and given in the very moment that we were with them the words to say. We are promised that in the scriptures but I was really able to see that promise fulfilled this week! God has promised us so many amazing things and I know that he does fulfill his promises!
My favorite scripture that I read this week is in Romans 5:3-5 in it it says, "we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope: and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."
Well as you can tell it was a good week and I'm pumped for another one! Hope y'all have as good of a week as I do! Love and miss you guys
