 IT RAINED CATS AND DOGS!!

Ok maybe not LITERALLY but we were on a morning bike ride and we were a few miles away from the apartment when it started DOWNPOURING very suddenly πŸ˜… so ya we had to bike in the pouring rain for a few miles and we were soaked. We got a lot of looks of pity from cars that passed us by...but it was actually pretty fun and quite hilarious.

I really don't feel like writing an email this week but here we go, I will do it just for you guys

This week Gainesville went crazy because it was the first home football game of the season! The Gators won!! We were told it was a good game but alas we couldn't go obviously πŸ˜” this town has so much school spirit though holy cow! It was like a carnival with food trucks everywhere and people were setting up for tailgating at like 9am. So that was super fun to see!

Besides all the partying we weren't apart of (lol) this week was another good one! Caroline came to church again, and this is super cool: we have a recent convert named Aubrey and we were able to invite her to our lesson with Caroline. They got along super well and turns out Caroline is in a very similar situation that Aubrey was in before she got baptized with family issues and she can relate to her very easily. So that was a little miracle that we felt prompted to invite her to lessons! Caroline is doing great though we're super excited for her.

We found someone new to teach...Desiree! It was the picture perfect missionary moment we always dream of. She requested a Book of Mormon so we texted her asking when we could drop it off for her (usually they never respond) but she said she wanted us to stop by the next day! So we did and she was so excited to get her book of Mormon because she is going through some hard times and she wants to grow closer to God. We bore our testimony about the bom and invited her to study it with us. She said she would love to and she's super excited! Doesn't that just sound like the perfect missionary situation? It was! It's sad that we don't experience more of them out here, but when we do we know that they are sent from heaven!

We also found a family to teach! We are trying to meet all the members in 5th ward and we went over to a members house to do service. Turns out her son isn't baptized and he wants to start going to church and get baptized! Super cool, I've never had a family to work with before so that'll be fun.

Besides all that we had all our normal events this week: FHE, our on campus booth, Institute, art night, free car wash, and volleyball. πŸ‘

We had a mission wide zoom meeting this week and in it our mission president gave a really cool analogy about the gospel/ the church. He said that the gospel is like a large puzzle. We find all the corner and edge pieces first and start putting it together. Eventually we'll come across some round weird looking pieces that don't seem to fit anywhere, instead of giving up and throwing the whole puzzle away, we just set them aside for now because we know that we'll see how they fit in the rest of the puzzle in the future. He related this to our lives and how we live the gospel. Just because we can't see how something in the church fits in to the puzzle right now, it doesn't mean we need to give up on everything and throw the puzzle away. We need to have the faith to set it aside and wait, because we know it will fit in the puzzle later and we just can't see it right now.

I love you all and I miss the Utah mountains a lot, just thought I'd let you know.

Ok have a great weeeeeek! Byyyee

-Sister Bonny ❤
