Week 51, 9/27/2021

Royal blue and orange is growing on me

Ok I wrote a suuuuuuper good email last week that I put a lot of time and effort into... so I figured that gives me the excuse to write not as good of an email this week. 😅 If you haven't read mine from last week, go read it!

Transfer #??? I lost track a while ago, but the transfer is OVER! Sister Morley and I are both staying in Gainesville and we're super happy! We love it here so so much.  We've met so many amazing people that I love and adore here!

Nothing super eventful happened this week.  it was basically just the normal things: lessons, meetings, activities, dinners, tracting on campus :)

The best part of the week was our lesson with Caroline! We've been teaching her for a few weeks now and we love her. She graduated high school this past year so we're about the same age, kinda weird but kinda fun. She has lots of friends who are members so she knows a lot about the church, and at this point she's reading the Book of Mormon and trying to gain a testimony that it's true. I've never met someone who has such a strong desire to know of its true or not. I really look up to her honestly! She reads about 15-20 chapters a week, I've never taught anyone like her!

We had an awesome lesson where we talked about how the Book of Mormon draws us closer to Christ. At this point, I'm almost finished reading the entire Bible and I've read the Book of Mormon many times and I can confidentially say that I've come closer to Christ through the book of Mormon than any other book. That's why it's true, and that's why we need it. After we focused on Christ she seemed a lot more exciting to read and pray about it this week.

The Book of Mormon is so much more than a historical book and I love watching others come closer to Him as they read it! (And as I read it) one of my favorite verses about Christ is in Alma 7:11-12,

"11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.

12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities."

I know that what these verses talk about Christ sufferings is true, and that the Book of Mormon is true as well! As you read it this week, focus on Him and what you learn about Him, you won't regret it.

Campus "tabling event"

Anyway enough about the Book of Mormon....but that's pretty much it for the week! Sorry no fun stories, stay tuned for next week! We did have some massive bugs in our apartment and Sister Morley almost died, so that was eventful 😅

Love y'all have a good week!
