Week 57, 11/11/2021

Been working on my gift of TONGUES.  What do you think?

Well. This was one of those weeks where it rained all week and everyone cancelled on us. So not really the greatest๐Ÿ˜ฌ but that's a mission for you. The work never stops, even though sometimes all you want to do is disappear in a hoodie and blankets with a cup of hot chocolate and watch Harry Potter. But nope, gotta keep grinding.

There was still some miracles though! On Wednesday we had our first Friendsgiving with some YSA members! Our girl Caroline who's getting baptized in December has had a hard time making friends in the YSA, so we organized a dinner with her and some other members. It was a huge success! The food was less than average but Caroline had a ton of fun and was able to make some more friends. It was honestly a miracle how everything worked out. And the best part was Sister Morley and I made a sweet potato casserole...it was amazing.

Another little miracle was Loretta came to church! She was baptized in May but hadn't come to church in over 2 months. We were really struggling to figure out how we could give her the desire to come again. Then randomly a member that lives by her reached out and asked for a ride from her to church. She accepted and gave this member a ride! They both showed up and sat together the whole meeting! We were super excited, I guess that was the trick to getting her to church all along. ๐Ÿคท‍♀️ God provides.

We did weekly planning at the University of Florida football stadium...that was fun

We had another volleyball night and somehow a bunch of ACTUAL volleyball players found out about it lol. We had SO many nonmembers there it was great, but they were definitely not interested in chatting with us about the gospel, they were there to play some serious volleyball. It was kind of terrifying. ๐Ÿ˜…

Ok now the moment you all have been waiting for: transfer news. I'm staying in Gainesville and getting a new comp and Sister Morley is leaving. ๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ช We're both suuuuuuper sad about it. These last 3 months have been a blast and have absolutely flown by, we're not ready to say goodbye. The mission is full of goodbyes and it can be annoying sometimes. I'm just glad I get to stay in Gainesville though!

Sad state after transfer news

Here's a little thought for y'all: read the Book of Mormon it's so good! The Bible is good too so read that too, but having read both cover to cover, I can honestly say the Book of Mormon is better. I'm not a biased member of the church I promise! Not only is it good to fill your spiritual appetite, but the stories are very intricate and entertaining. Go! Read it right now!

Most LEGENDARY ZONE ever

That's it for the week. According to my momma it's week 58 I believe. Only 20 something more weeks to go! (But who's counting lol๐Ÿ˜œ)

Love and miss you all! Here's my address for anyone wanting to send Thanksgiving or Christmas packages a lil early:)
