THE 7 HOUR MEETING
| We jumped up to the ceiling at the same time - cool trick! |
Ok, updates for the week-
Ally: We started officially teaching Ally! She is the most elect person I have ever met. God has prepared her so much to receive the gospel it's awesome! We taught her a good old restoration lesson and we asked her if she had any questions at the end, she said that she had already read over the lesson before we had it in preparation. So she literally already knew everything! She's also read most of the Book of Mormon and her boyfriend is a member so she already knows a lot of what we teach her. So her lessons are super fun! Baptism isn't far away so stay tuned.

Caroline: she finished the book of Mormon this week! She loves it so much but she still feels like she hasn't gotten a clear answer on whether or not it's true. We had a lesson about fasting so she decided to fast and pray about it. Super cool! We didn't even ask her to, it was her idea. We're teaching so many elect people it's great. But keep her in your prayers! She has a baptismal date for December 4th but she's still praying to know if the Book of Mormon is true.
| MLC - glorious but long. |
The 7 hour long meeting: we had MLC this week (Mission Leadership Counsel) its where we discuss ways we can improve and how we can help the missionaries in the mission. Its really cool to be apart of it! This time we talked about what the vision for the mission should be for 2022, no pressure or anything right? My favorite part about the meeting was our gospel discussion about the doctrine of Christ. It seems that we talk about the doctrine of Christ at every meeting I go to, so I wasn't super excited about it. But President Wood said something that changed my perspective. He talked about how anytime someone is stalling on the covenant path, it's because they aren't following the doctrine of Christ. And that is: Faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.
Our whole purpose in life is to make sacred covenants that will bind us to our Heavenly Father and help us return to live with him again. We won't be able to do that unless we endure to the end and make and keep those covenants in the temple, we won't be able to do that without the gift of the Holy Ghost helping us, we can't get that gift without being baptized, we can't be baptized without first repenting, and we won't WANT to repent without having faith in Jesus Christ. Do you see the pattern? It's a process, and one step leads to the next! I know that the doctrine of Christ is our road map back to our Heavenly Father and following it is also what will bring us the most joy possible in this life. It will make it possible for our families to be together forever and to be closer to God. The gospel leads to so much joy!

Ok now that given you an epic missionary sermon... I guess I'll end with that haha😅😅
I know that we have the fulness of the gospel on the earth today and I'm so grateful for that!
I hope y'all have an amaaaaaaazing Thanksgiving and I hope that my family especially enjoys the sweet potato casserole and biscoff pie that I will so greatly miss.
