COVID...??
We better take Covid seriously. I think we have it 😧
Well ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, girls and boys it finally happened...I got sick. Sister Hancock and I have watched as pretty much everyone around us has gotten sick with either covid or the flu and I was just thinking how lucky we are that we hadn't gotten sick! And then on Monday night I started feeling pretty horrible...our luck finally ran out! 😩
I was pretty much completely out of it Tuesday and Wednesday and then started to feel a bit better Thursday and Friday. Now I'm happy to report that I feel pretty normal! And yes like a responsible human being we got tested for covid and it was a miracle...they both came back negative! I was completely sure I had covid: headache, sore throat, slight fever, chills, fatigue ect. But I guess when you're sick it's not automatically covid, apparently there are other sicknesses out there too. So that was our little miracle for the week. That means that we didn't have to quarantine or anything, we just stayed in and rested and relaxed until I felt better and then we got back to work.
A little road trip to the coast. Beautiful
The rest time was actually very needed. Lately I've been feeling very exhausted and burnt out with missionary work. Is it because I've been in Gainesville for over 6 months now?? Perhaps. But the work always goes on no matter how you feel. So yes, it was nice to take a breather.
Once we got back to work we were able to have some lessons with Ally and Gary! They're doing great, there's a few word of wisdom issues so pray for that but they're progressing really well! I most definitely won't be here for their baptisms so that's disappointing, but it's not about me.
Ally and Peyton
Not feeling great gave me more time to study this week so that was fun! I've been reading the Infinite Atonement and I love it. On the first few pages it says how the Atonement is one of the least understood and most important doctrines in the whole world. And that's so true! Growing up I was always SO confused about the Atonement. As missionaries, we teach lessons about the Plan of Salvation and the gospel of Jesus Christ ect. but all we really need to teach about is the Atonement. The Plan of Salvation IS the Atonement, the gospel IS the Atonement. Jesus Christ's Atonement is the single reason that we have purpose here on earth and without it we would simply have no hope. What would the world be like without his Atonement? Just think about that for a sec.
Bobo night with YSA
I know that we have meaning and purpose in this life and I know that it's because of Him. And the reason we talk about Jesus Christ so much is because of his Atonement!
That's my lil spiritual thought for y'all. Hopefully this next week Sister Hancock and I will feel better and we can convert all of Gainesville. 🙌
As always, I love and miss y'all so so much. Stay safe!
-Sister Bonny ❤
