Princess Warriors

Rare selfie with a mysterious, tall, friendly guy sporting a joker hat 🙋

Holy cow so much happened this week it was so long and so amazing and wow I have so much to say.

Busby Family:

Monday is when all the miracles started. A few weeks ago we knocked on a door of someone who clicked on a Facebook ad for the church. The missionaries were never able to get in contact with them so we decided we would give them a try. The mom answered the door but it wasn't a good time to share a message, so we gave her a Book of Mormon and scheduled a return appointment. She pushed that appointment back all the way until this past Monday. We didn't know exactly how interested she was and we didn't really know what to expect during our appointment, BUT it was waaaay better than we had expected. We showed up and a family of 4 were all sitting on the living room couch waiting patiently for us to teach them. We taught them the restoration and gave everyone copies of the Book of Mormon. They were so excited! We came back 2 days later and the dad joined us for a lesson about the gospel of Jesus Christ! They are the most prepared people I've ever met, they told us how they know we were inspired to knock on their door so we could give them Book of Mormons and share the restored gospel with them. The Busby family has a bright future ahead of them and even just the few lessons we've had with them have been some of my favorite lessons on my mission. Also....I've always wanted to teach an entire family and it's living up to its hype!

Yes everyone of them has had the honor of being my comp 😉

Sis Allman, my MTC companion. Seems like so long ago!

Meetings galore:

Yes, along with miracles we had another week filled with meetings, but these meetings were different because it was the last time that I got to see a lot of my mission friends for a few months. So there were lots of goodbyes this week. 😪 We had a sisters health conference on Tuesday and Mission Leadership council on Wednesday. I got to see ALL of my companions (besides the ones that have gone home) and my heart was so full. I love every single one of them so much and seeing them all in one place was the happiest day ever. Also for your information, at the sisters health conference a counselor that talked to us told us to call ourselves "PRINCESS WARRIORS" so now that is how you all shall address me. (When she said that I kind of wanted to die laughing)

Tradeoffs with Sis Boyack - Loved it!  (We did more than just eat!)

World class Farmer's Market

New roooomie:

I've talked about Liz and Kallee a few times but here's a recap: Kallee is a returning member and Liz was baptized about 3 weeks ago. They live together and they just got a new roommate who's name is Gaia. Here's the cool part: Gaia was previously taught by missionaries in Jacksonville about a year ago but stopped meeting with them. Since we go over to Liz and Kallee's house a lot we've been able to get to know her and talk about the gospel quite a bit. She's definitely interested and she's now in the perfect circumstances to accept the gospel! She came to church for the first time in almost a year on Sunday! I know that it wasn't a coincidence that Gaia moved in with the 2 best member missionaries I know. Someone once said that Heavenly Father gives all of us the best chance possible to receive the gospel. We're hoping that Gaia will be able to do that for herself!

Other news:

Someone in our ward was brutally murdered and it has shocked everyone (including me) to the core.

I went on a tradeoff with a new missionary Sister Boyack and it was super inspired.

We did Pilates with an investigator.

Shopped around at a farmers market on Saturday and talked to a Jesus centered smoothie shop. My kind of place.

Mission President's wife Sis Wood

And that's a wrap! Thanks for tuning in, until next weeeeek!

Love and miss you all, and don't forget you are ALL princess warriors! 😜😂
